Baikal Teal (Anas formosa)

The Baikal Teal is native to Eastern Asia.  This breed is sexually dimorphic, seasonably variable.  The drake weighs nearly 1 pound and the hen is slightly smaller.  The hen lays 6-9 pale-greenish eggs and prefers nesting in a ground box under tall grasses or among cavities in small brush.
