Falcated Duck (Anas falcata)

The Falcated Duck is native to Eastern Asia.  Sexually dimorphic, seasonably variable, the drakes weigh 1.7 pounds and the hens approximately 1.2 pounds.  Laying 6-9 cream-white or yellowish eggs, the hen prefers to nest among tall herbage or beneath bushes on marshy ground.
