Greenwing (Anas crecca)

Widespread across the Northern Hemisphere, this breed is sexually dimorphic, seasonally variable.  Drakes weigh 12.7 ounces and hens are noticeably smaller at 12 ounces.  Hens lay 8-11 dull yellowish-white blunt oval eggs and prefer nesting on the ground among dense cover or in a ground box.
